Each classroom incorporates the needs and developmental materials for the age of the children it serves. As you would at home, we provide age appropriate toys and facilities. The number of staff members assigned to a classroom is based upon state guidelines and the number of children. BCLC works to maintain “best practice” ratios, which are fewer children per teacher than state requirements.

Our classrooms.

  • Infant Care.

Our care for babies is designed to be an extension of home care with activities designed to meet each baby’s needs. We emphasize daily parent and caregiver communication. Play activities are designed to encourage stimulation in large and small muscle development, verbal and cognitive development, and positive social and emotional interactions. Our caregivers strive to provide a safe and stimulating environment in which the children can grow. Infants eat, nap, and play according to their individual needs.

  • Toddler Care.

Our care for toddlers continues to be an extension of home care with activities designed to meet each child’s individual development. Diapering and toilet training procedure meet and exceed state requirements for health, safety, and well being of children. Curriculum and play activities are specifically designed to meet each child’s developmental growth and needs.

The toddler rooms are arranged to encourage children to safely play with materials and toys independently as well as with each other. We believe that through example, positive guidance, and an appropriate environment, children will thrive and learn to play cooperatively with their peers.
