It Takes a Village…
Bellingham Childcare and Learning Center (BCLC) has been a home away from home for many children, families, and teachers in Whatcom County since 1968. Many children rely on BCLC to provide healthy meals and a safe space. As a (501c3) non-profit organization, BCLC relies on fundraising, grants and donations to allow us to continue educating future leaders and community members. The COVID pandemic placed an incredible burden on our essential service - requiring smaller class sizes while costs of food, materials, and building maintenance increased. Help keep our doors open and support early learning in our community.
BCLC provides three home cooked meals per day (breakfast, lunch, snack).
We prioritized diverse learning spaces for exploration, both indoors and outdoors.
BCLC is in operation year round, Monday through Friday offering care for up to 10 hours per day
We provide care to children one month to age 6, serving diverse income levels and abilities.
Our teachers are highly educated in Early Childhood education with Degrees ranging from Associates, Bachelor and Masters Degree in child related fields.
